Tuesday, December 24 is the academic portion of the symposium. This will also take place in the C-Block Auditorium, and will begin at 9:45 a.m. Papers by ten academics, authors, critics, and graduate students will be presented.
After a few welcoming words by Rector Ali Doğramacı, Hilmi Yavuz will give a brief opening speech, followed by papers by Alphan Akgül, Orhan Koçak, Şehnaz Şişmanoğlu, Mehmet Yalçın, Yalçın Armağan, Ahmet Oktay, Tahsin Yücel, Füsun Akatlı, Mehmet H. Doğan, Ahmet İnam. The symposium will end at 5 p.m.
The poetry-music program and the symposium are open to all those interested.
