Occasionally when there is a heavy snowfall, morning classes are cancelled. Bilkent drivers are strongly advised to winterize their cars and to get chains for their vehicles' tires, if they do not already have them. Using chains helps to improve traction and keeps the roads clear of stranded vehicles.
On those days when it snows, if you can, avoid driving to school; and if you must drive, please use extra caution, and don't take unnecessary risks.
