“POP-EYED”

A few days ago I was casually flicking through the channels when I realized that on nearly every channel there was a soap; for each night there was a different soap to watch. Lately the hottest topic being talked about at Bilkent is “tonight don’t forget to watch ‘Asmalý Konak’, ‘Biz Size Aþýk Olduk’, ‘Zerda’ etc.” Everybody is watching something, and at meals fellow students talk excitedly about what happened in last night’s episode. Those who missed it are informed in detail by others.
Now, I bet you all are thinking its only the girls who do this, well surprise surprise! I witness guys talking and watching these soaps just as much as the girls. If you don’t trust me, ask about something that happened in the last episode and you will see that the first person to answer will be a guy! The guys act tough and try to hide this fact, but girls beware, guys also get together and watch the same soaps! There goes the Bilkent charisma down the drain. If only we students paid this much attention to what happened in class I bet we would all be “A” students!
So I guess you are all wondering after all this talk if I watch soaps as well... well, okay-I've been caught red-handed; I also watch soaps, but hey, who doesn't these days?
