Dil Bayramı is an annual celebration commemorating Atatürk’s initiative in modernizing the Turkish language.
For the 70th anniversary this year, heads of major governmental organizations met at Bilkent on Thursday, September 26, and presented their views on the present state of affairs and discussed their plans for the future.
The program included a panel discussion entitled Günümüzde Türk Dilinin Görüntüsü (The Image of the Turkish Language Today). Participants included the heads of Atatürk Kültür, Dil ve Tarih Yüksek Kurumu, Talim ve Terbiye Kurulu, Türk Dil Kurumu and other leading foundations.
