Bilkent Havacılık Kulübü (BİLHAVK) was established in November 1991. Since then, BİLHAVK has initiated many courses in paragliding and occasionally hang gliding.
Paragliding is an air sport that emerged in the 1980s in several European countries; many people enjoyed it because it was easy to learn and was very entertaining. There are no hard landings in paragliding: you simply run downward along a smooth slope while you are harnessed to the paraglider, and voila, you are airborne! After a delightful experience that few enjoy in their lifetime, you land smoothly with the assistance of experienced instructors who are certified by the FAI (International Air Sports Federation). BİLHAVK’s courses will take place in the hills around Ankara, and later in Ölüdeniz, Kaş, and Abant for the more experienced paragliders.
