Let’s Rock!
|
The Music Club has begun this semester’s Friday concert series. Various music groups consisting of Bilkent students will be playing live music and offering a unique opportunity to listen to Rock, Pop and Alternative music both in Turkish and English. Concerts are every Friday between 5 p.m. -
7 p.m. at the Speed Fast Food Restaurant. This is a fantastic way to kick-off your weekend! In addition, video clips of many groups will be shown throughout the semester.
The club also offers guitar, bass guitar and drum lessons offered by the students in the music room of the Student Union Building for only 35.000.000 TL per semester. All fees go towards the club’s general funds, which is used to buy equipment.
The Music Club is also seeking new members who are willing to work actively for the club. The club meets every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Speed Fast Food Restaurant and everybody is invited. There is a Sound Studio at the Student Union Building which can be used by students. Anyone who plays an instrument and wants to participate in the concert activities or take part in the upcoming Mayfest concerts can get in touch with the music club at music@ug.bilkent.edu.tr.
