“POP-EYED”

The dreaded exam week has come (creepy music in the background please), and yes “we” students know and fear these weeks. Not only because our first midterm grades will be the first sign as to how we will do throughout the whole semester, but because it’s that period of time when we feel the true Bilkent Stress. The first symptoms are: suddenly the library becomes your new hang out place; secondly you can find most of your friends tucked away somewhere in the library studying or doing group exercises; and thirdly your nutrition is suddenly based on 3 things: coffee, chocolate and a smoke, and the only thing on your mind is your upcoming exam or the essay you should have handed in last week.
The most popular conversation topic at the moment is “do you think X will accept my paper if I hand it on Friday, I'll just say that my computer broke down, or ‘buddy’, you gotta help me study for the exam or I’m sure to fail this course!”. So the amount of stress levels at the moment are at their peak, we “should” all be studying hard right? Yeah right; except that during exam weeks, everybody tries to avoid studying. For example prank calls become constant at dorms; I just got a call from someone who was meowing to me- wonder what that poor bloke was studying for. For this exam week playing TABU is one of our favorite pastime excuses not to study for me and my friends. But for some reason even when playing TABU we are referring to our exams:
What should I be doing at the moment?
Studying for your monetary policy exam.
At those times what do I usually do?

Drink coffee and talk a lot.
What exactly do I drink?

Espresso, cappuccino.
Exactly! We win!
See games can be educational :)
