“POP-EYED”

I think its safe to say that spring is finally here! No more snow, no more cold weather, no more gloves, scarves or thick jumpers to wear! Goodbye to wearing boots so that you won’t slip on ice, or having to take a shower the night before because the cold weather would only make your sinus problems worse. Hello and Welcome back Spring! Where have you been? Long time no see!
Everything about spring is so much better than winter, for example waking up in the morning to a great sunny day! Not having to wear layers of clothes and as if that wasn’t enough, a jacket to top it off. Now it’s the season for sunglasses to come out. The time to be sitting on the grass and feeling that faint trickle of sweat running down your back as the sun shines on it, but just as you feel it, a soft wind blows and cools you down and you can’t remember if you were the one feeling hot before. Sitting or laying on the grass, especially at our university, is like an indication that “good weather has come and its safe to sit outside without freezing”. And hey who doesn’t enjoy sitting on our lawns? It’s such a wonderful yet relaxing place to be. Imagine it, you’re with your friends and your classes for the day have just finished and none of you feel like sitting indoors because that’s what winter is for (!). You turn your head around and there it is, one of the most beautiful sights, green grass with big trees who have the greenest leaves and some with the palest pink flowers you have ever seen. You all walk hurriedly with your drinks to that spot, impatient to get lying down and feeling the sun and soft breeze on your whole body. You sit down and get comfortable, a great conversation starts up and you are all chatting and laughing away. Then, suddenly you feel it. At first you can’t make out what it is but its defiantly familiar! Aaachooo! Oh no, the first sneeze and you know that there are more to follow! How could you forget that you had hay fever! :) hehe ruined the perfect spring picture didn’t I? :) just wanted to keep you in touch with reality :)
