IE Students Attend ESTIEM Council Meeting

Four students from the Department of Industrial Engineering; Aydýn Emek, Sevgi Gülalp, Evren Özkaya and Serdar Türkmen represented Bilkent University at ESTIEM’s 26th Council Meeting, which took place in St. Petersburg between April 14-19. ESTIEM, which stands for European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management, is the only European-wide organization aiming to increase network and cooperation among IE students on an international basis. ESTIEM has 63 member universities, and Bilkent has been a member since 2000, through the Operational Research Club. At the Council Meeting, Evren Özkaya (IE/III) was elected as the project leader of the European Graduate Catalogue (EGC) project of ESTIEM for the upcoming year. EGC offers an online database including the CV’s of IE students all over Europe, aiming to provide opportunities for students to find better jobs, and for companies to recruit better students.
