The Bilkent University Library Art Gallery held the opening of “A Visual Duet,” a dual exhibition by Kadir Öztoprak and Yasemin Karabaşı, last Tuesday.
Mr. Öztoprak’s works, divided into two series, “Sleep” and “Dreams,” demonstrate an entrancing visualization of the individual’s state of mind. The theme of his representations is strongly influenced by Freud and Jung.
In her exhibition, Ms. Karabaşı deals with even more abstract concepts, including life and death, reincarnation and infinity. Those of her works on display consist mostly of monochrome paintings.
The exhibition will run until May 20 and will be open every day (except Sundays) between 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
