Two instructors in the Department of Performing Arts have recently won awards for their work in the theater.
Erdal Küçükkömürcü received a 2016 Sadri Alışık Anadolu Tiyatro Award; he was named Best Actor of the Year for his performance in “Satıcının Ölümü,” a Turkish-language production of the classic play “Death of a Salesman” by US playwright Arthur Miller.
İlham Yazar received a 2016 Afife Tiyatro Award as Best Director for the play “Antabus,” a drama by Seray Şahiner staged at the Tatbikat Sahnesi in İstanbul.
