A selection of short films from !F (the İstanbul International Independent Film Festival) will be screened at Bilkent University. “!f Shorts From Turkey” brings together examples of shorts produced within the last year by directors – as well as anyone working with moving images in the form of thematic compilations – from Turkey. The themes for the two screening sessions, “Lions and Gazelles” and “The Enormous Innermost,” are constructed around the questions and feelings that emerge as viewers watch the shorts suggested by the directors and the !f audience.
Of special note is the fact that the shorts featured in “The Enormous Innermost” include COMD alumna Pınar Yorgancıoğlu’s film “Mrs. Nebile’s Wormhole.”
Thursday, March 2, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., “Lions and Gazelles” (Aslanlar ve Ceylanlar), FF-B06, FADA Building
Friday, March 3, 12:30 – 1:40 p.m., “The Enormous Innermost” (Muazzam Öz), FF-B06, FADA Building
