Celebrating the launch of its Media Archaeology Lab, the Department of Communication and Design invites everyone to “Play/Pause, FF/Rewind” a five-day event on “Shared Practices and Archaeologies of Media” that is being held this week, October 2–6.
The event brings together international scholars and artists to explore media archaeology. The keynote speakers, who will be giving their talks over the coming days, are Wolfgang Ernst (Institut für Musik und Medienwissenschaft, Humboldt University, Berlin), Annie van den Oever (University of Groningen, the Netherlands) and Jussi Parikka (Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton, UK). The program will conclude with a roundtable discussion on October 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Erimtan Arkeoloji ve Sanat Müzesi.
