Last week, the Nevruz holiday signaled the arrival of spring. To mark the occasion, Türk Dünyası Araştırmaları Topluluğu and the Bilkent Student Council organized a celebration.
The event, which took place Friday, April 10 on the Main Campus grass field, included a mehter performance as well as folk dances from all over Turkey and Central Asia, such as the zeybek, seğmen and kafkas.
Attendees also had the opportunity to watch exhibitions of horseback riding and archery and enjoy festive food offerings.
