The Department of History and Bilkent University Library are currently co-hosting an exhibition of maps of the Levant region dating from the middle of the nineteenth until the early twentieth century. The exhibition, which is open to all, is housed in the Library Art Gallery and will run through May 22.
On Monday, May 13, an opening ceremony was held at the gallery. The event included a guided tour of the exhibited items, followed by an academic panel with talks by Ottoman historians, including Prof. Özer Ergenç of the Bilkent Department of History.
