The Career and Alumni Office has launched two new programs to help Bilkent students prepare effectively for their career journeys and create content-rich resumes/CVs.
Professional Discovery Program
This program enables students in their first and second years of study to learn about future career opportunities by taking part in a variety of activities organized by the Career and Alumni Office. Attendees will receive a certificate of participation along with a list of the activities they took part in during the year.
The program content consists of: the Bilkent Career Fair; seminars and training sessions; sector discovery sessions; company presentations; executive conferences and lectures; “Tea and Talks”; resume/CV preparation/ checking in consultation with career advisors.
Career Passport Program
This program will provide students in their third and fourth years of study with a good grasp of sector/company recruitment procedures and policies, and will help them gain confidence in preparing for internship and job interviews. Students will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities organized by the Career and Alumni Office; attendees will receive a certificate of participation along with a list of the activities they took part in during the year.
The program content consists of: the Bilkent Career Fair; speed networking with Bilkent alumni; seminars and training sessions; sector discovery sessions; company presentations; executive conferences and lectures; “Tea and Talks”; Resume/CV preparation/checking and interview simulations in consultation with career advisors; company interviews.
Collecting Points
Activities will be assigned point values, with students who collect 10 points by the end of the academic year being entitled to receive program certificates. Career and Alumni Office event announcements will include information about the point value for each event.
