Fitness Challenge
Are you ready to compete in this semester’s “Sports as a Way of Life” Fitness Challenge? The four-week event kicks off on Monday, November 4, and will run through Sunday, December 1. It will be held at the Dormitories Sports Hall and is open to all students.
Participants are to work out at least two times and at most five times per week. They can do, at most, two different fitness activities in one day, and will get 5 points for each activity each day that it is done.
Students taking GE250/251 who collect points in the challenge will also receive points for the course as follows: 30 GE points for 60 Fitness Challenge points; 40 GE points for 80 Fitness Challenge points; 50 GE points for 100 Fitness Challenge points; and 60 GE points for 120 Fitness Challenge points.

Swim Challenge
The Physical Education and Sports Center will be holding this semester’s “Sports as a Way of Life” Swim Challenge from November 4 to December 1 (for men)/December 8 (for women).
Participants are to swim a minimum of half an hour at least two times and at most five times per week during the challenge period. They will get 5 Swim Challenge points each time that they swim between 30 and 45 minutes, and 10 Swim Challenge points each time that they swim more than 45 minutes. Swimmers should inform the lifeguard that they are participating in the challenge each time they come to the pool.
Students taking GE250/251 who collect points in the challenge will also receive points for the course as follows: 30 GE points for 60 Swim Challenge points; 40 GE points for 80 Swim Challenge points; 50 GE points for 100 Swim Challenge points; and 60 GE points for 120 Swim Challenge points.
At the conclusion of the event, a reception will take place at which participants who have collected 120 or more Swim Challenge points will receive special prizes.
