On October 19–20, international faculty members welcomed the fall semester with a trip to Kastamonu. Located about a four-hour drive away from Ankara, the province is known for its rich history and picturesque setting on the Black Sea.
Faculty and their family members found Kastamonu to be well worth a visit. They toured historic sites as well as a horse farm, a waterfall and a canyon reputed to be the world’s second deepest. “With beautiful weather on our side, we were able to see great places, do a lot of hiking and trekking while breathing the fresh mountain air, and have a really good time,” said International Center Coordinator Berna Örge.
