A team of Computer Engineering students came in sixth in the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest’s Southeast Europe Regional Contest (SEERC).

Competing as Team Unagi, Muhammed İkbal Kazar, Orhan Uysal and Oğuzhan Özçelik traveled to Romania to participate in the event, which was held October 18–20 at the Politehnica University of Bucharest. A total of 100 teams took part in the competition; the Bilkent students achieved the best performance among the 10 teams from Turkey at SEERC.

The ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC)is a global competition for university students; the Southeastern Europe region comprises Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Israel, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine. The top four teams from SEERC will advance to the world finals, to be held in Moscow in June.
