Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering 2004 graduate Duygu Kuzum has received a New Innovator Award from the US National Institutes of Health (NIH). The award will help her work on creating electronic brain organoids to restore damaged brain regions in humans.Dr. Kuzum is currently an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of California San Diego. After graduating from Bilkent, she received MS and PhD degrees from Stanford University, where she remained as a visiting scholar from 2011 to 2013.
