Prof. Mustafa Ç. Pınar of the Department of Industrial Engineering has published a new book titled “Dışbükeylik ve Optimizasyon Ders Notları” (Convexity and Optimization: Lecture Notes). Recently released by Seçkin Publishing, the volume is a textbook organized in the format of 12 lectures.
It treats the subject of convexity in optimization, where it plays a key role pivotal to most applied domains in engineering, statistics and economics. The book covers ground extending from classical results to the developments of the last quarter of a century, with many examples and exercises as well as practical computation tips.
