Radio Bilkent recently added four programs to its broadcast lineup. Like all the station’s programming, they can be heard at 96.6 or on radyobilkent.com.
Art Arda is a talk show program that airs live every Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Inspired by the late-night show concept, it includes interactive games that the host plays with program guests.
Update, a current events program that some may remember from the past, is back. Broadcast at 1 p.m. each Friday, it rounds up and critiques recent developments taking place around the world in politics, the economy, science and the arts.
Tie Break, a sports program, has also just returned to the air. Critical developments in the sports world are discussed every Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Disjointed, a new program, not only showcases reggae music but also provides background on the Jamaican and Rastafarian cultures as well as information about reggae artists and the history of the genre. The name of the program refers to the fact that not many radio stations here include a show devoted to reggae in their programming, making this one very “disjointed” from others. The program airs every Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
