How often do you exercise?
I generally skip only two days a week. Depending on my school schedule, I always go to the gym.
How has regular exercise affected your life?
I feel a positive change in my mood, even after only a short time at the gym. Regular exercise has increased my self-confidence and determination, and has helped me learn a lot about time management.
What do you suggest to those who are just taking up a sport or starting to exercise?
At the beginning it’s not easy to stay both physically and mentally motivated at the same time. But if you try your best, you’ll soon be rewarded with success.
What are the first three things that come to mind when you hear the word “sports”?
Sports is: 1) the best source of happiness; 2) the best way to relieve stress; and 3) best for your nature.
Which Bilkent sports facilities do you use?
I generally use the Dormitory and Main Sports Halls for working out, playing squash and training on the volleyball court.
Have you taken any courses or participated in any Sports Center activities?
I’m a member of the Bilkent volleyball team. I’ve also participated in volleyball tournaments and Zumba classes, and have taken a course to improve my squash skills.
