Anatolian University Libraries Consortium Association, known as ANKOS, reported that the Bilkent University Library came in first in Interlibrary Resource Sharing in Turkey. The announcement was made at the ANKOS Regional Meeting, VII. National Academic Resource Sharing Workshop. The meeting was hosted by Artuklu University in Mardin in June, with international participants such as OCLC, IUPUI, Simon Fraser University and Balamand University.
Bilkent Library director Ebru Kaya participated in the event with a presentation titled “Contribution of ANKOS E-Book Agreements to University Library Budgets.” Bilkent Library Interlibrary Loan and Document Supply (ILL) unit supervisor, Füsun Tütüncü Yurdakul, also contributed with her presentation, “Contribution of Interlibrary Loan and Document Supply Service to the Library Budget.”
According to the data presented by Zeki Çelikbaş from ANKOS Collaboration Research Group, Bilkent Library won first place by sharing 2,131 resources. Boğaziçi University Library took second place with 1,969 resources while METU Library took third place with 745 resources.
