Prof. Hitay Özbay, returning from sabbatical leave, resumed the position of associate provost, effective September 1, 2018. Prof. Cemal Yalabık had held the position during Prof. Özbay’s leave.
Asst. Prof. Zeynep Seviner was appointed acting chair of the Department of Turkish Literature, effective October 1, 2018. Dr. Seviner took over the position from Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Kalpaklı, who is currently on sabbatical leave.
Asst. Prof. David Thornton was appointed acting chair of the Department of History, effective October 1, 2018. Dr. Thornton took over the position from Dr. Kalpaklı.
Asst. Prof. Satılmış Topcu was appointed director of the Communications and Spectrum Management Research Center, effective October 1, 2018. Dr. Topcu took over the position from Prof. Ayhan Altıntaş.
Asst. Prof. Onur İşçi was appointed director of the Center for Russian Studies, effective October 16, 2018. Dr. İşçi took over the position from Prof. Norman Stone.
Assoc. Prof. Zeynep Önder was appointed associate dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, effective November 11, 2018. Dr. Önder took over the position from Asst. Prof. Örsan Örge.
Asst. Prof. Pınar Altıok Ormancı was appointed associate dean of the Faculty of Law, effective February 5, 2019. Dr. Ormancı took over the position from Asst. Prof. Aslı Elif Gürbüz Usluel.
