Ayşegül Başol, founding director of the International Students and Exchange Programs Office and assistant registrar at the university, retired from work as of June 30, 2017. Zeynep Ekmekçioğlu has been appointed acting director of the office.
Zeki Samatyalı, who had served as manager of Student Housing since 2006, decided to retire as of August 31, 2017. Veli Karaaslan will serve as acting manager until a permanent appointment is made.
Bilkent University extends its gratitude to Ms. Başol for her for her great efforts and invaluable contribution to the internationalization process and to Mr. Samatyalı for his services as dormitories manager during his tenure at Bilkent, and wishes Ms. Ekmekçioğlu and Mr. Karaaslan all the best in their new appointments.
