A team of Department of Architecture students has won the gold award in the “Social Housing” category of the student division of the American Architecture Prize competition. The competition is open to architects, landscape architects and interior architects from all around the world.
Ezgi Tümer, Öykü Şener and Atahan Topçu received the award for their submission “Sanjak Cohousing Residential Project.” The project was designed for the ARCH 301 Architectural Design Studio course under the supervision of Vis. Asst. Prof. Giorgio Gasco.
The American Architecture Prize is presented with the aim of “celebrating the best in international architecture”; awards are given in forty-one categories in two
divisions, student and professional. This year’s award ceremony took place in New York City’s Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Museum on October 25.
