Instructor/Course Evaluations

Bilkent University provides an opportunity for all students to evaluate their instructors and the courses that they have attended at the end of each semester. Bilkent University was the first academic establishment in Turkey to provide this opportunity, however, until this semester the results of these evaluations were kept confidential. In response to the decision of the Senate meeting at the end of last semester, it was decided that these evaluations should be open to everyone through the Internet. Please note that the student's confidentiality will be maintained, so that the instructor will not know who has written what. This is to insure your sincerest replies to the questions.
Evaluation results can be seen without a password by first clicking on ACADEMICS, then STARS, then EVALUATION NEW. After this, select the department code in which you are interested; course GPA’s are provided, and if you want to see a more detailed statistical evaluation, click on the numbers next to the instructor's name. Here you will find answers to your questions, such as: “Despite having lots of knowledge he spoke too fast”, “He directs students very well in the course with concepts and quizzes”, “The Instructor regularly finishes his/her lectures late so, I often miss my bus”, these are only few of the many evaluations that can be found on this website. So please, take the time to evaluate your instructor and course honestly and fairly, as these evaluations are being taken very seriously.

Sibel Muradoğlu,
Student Council President
