The 160-page inaugural issue included articles and essays by Walter G. Andrews, Jale Parla, Nicholas Martinovitch, and Orhan Burian. A second issue is planned for the first half of 2005.
Bilkent News recently interviewed Prof. Talat Halman, head of the Department of Turkish Literature, about the journal.

The Interval Training Program is a group program, combining aerobics, tae-bo, step and fitness training.
All students, regardless of current physical ability, are invited to participate in this dynamic and enjoyable program. The goal of the Interval Training Program is to bring students together in an exercise program that combines rhythm and fitness training.
Students who attended last year's interval training session found that they were able to leave their stress behind and enjoy exercising in a social setting complete with energetic music. They did aerobics, step, tae-bo, ab training and stretching, switching from activity to activity as cued by changes in the music.
Last year's attendees had the following to say about interval training:
Hande Kaya (ECON/IV):
"I loved it! It definitely has to be held more than once a semester. The music was great, I felt like we were all working out in a disco! The intervals were timed very well--everyone had the chance to catch their breath before the next section started. It was so much fun!"
Volkan Muşlu (CAD/II):
"Although I work out regularly, this was the first time I attended an actual interval training session. I think it was very beneficial training, but the most important thing was the fun I got from it."
Participants not only have the opportunity to work out, but also may receive a Bilkent University interval training t-shirt. Registration is at the Main Campus and Student Dormitories Sports Halls. The first 100 who register will be given free Bilkent t-shirts. For further information call ext. 2262 or 1325.
