Here are the guidelines for submitting articles or announcements to the Bilkent
News: Articles or announcements should be in English, no longer than 200 words,
free of spelling and grammatical errors, and related to academic, social or cultural
events at Bilkent or the activities of Bilkent students, faculty members or
administrators. Submissions related to a specific event should include the date, time and
location of the event mentioned. It should also include the name, telephone extension and
e-mail address of the person or persons to contact for more information about the event.
In order to be considered for inclusion in the following Tuesday’s issue, submissions
must be handed in by 10 a.m. Wednesday. Short event announcements and
Bilad items may be submitted as late as 5 p.m. Thursday. The Editorial
Board of the Bilkent News reserves the right to make changes or to reject any submissions.
Submissions should be e-mailed to bilnews@bilkent.edu.tr
or delivered in person to the Communications Unit, Room G-22 in the Engineering
