Bilkent Represented at International Competition

competiton IEEEXtreme is a worldwide contest in which teams of student members, supported by their IEEE Student Branch, and advised and proctored by an IEEE Member, compete in a 24-hour time span to solve a set of programming problems.

The event was held Saturday, March 8, with the largest number of Turkish teams (nine out of ten) coming from Bilkent. In total, 110 teams from all over the world participated. Bilkent's 'Caspian' team answered 14 out of 16 questions, achieving great success. Although some `Xtremists` gave up early, others worked hard the whole day and made great progress. Bilkent IEEE organized one stage of the international meet, and made a good impression in doing so.

Results will soon be announced. Members of the winning teams and their student branches will receive IEEE plaques and prizes to recognize their efforts.
