Prof. Norman Stone of the Department of International Relations at Bilkent will deliver the first Library Lunchtime Lecture for this year. Entitled "Einstein to Bartók: Academic Refuge in Republican Turkey," the talk will examine the important contribution to early Republican Turkish academic life by Central European academic refugees from Nazism, including the German physicist Albert Einstein and the Hungarian composer Béla Bartók.

It will be at Main Campus Library Art Gallery at 12:40 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The lecture will be in English, and refreshments will be supplied.
