"Home Away From Home" Party Organized by Dorm Resident Assistants

Beginning this semester, the Bilkent University Dormitories Management has initiated a new advisory assistance system for dorm residents. Twenty-five "Resident Assistants," selected from among both undergraduate and graduate residents, have already started making everyday life in the dormitories more lively and sociable.

The first big social event organized by the Resident Assistants was a “Home Away From Home Party.” Students living in the Main Campus dorms had a good time meeting their neighbors while also enjoying "sucuk ekmek" and hot beverages at the party, held on the Dorm 69 terrace on Sunday afternoon, March 4. Campfires burning in barrels and music of the 70s and 80s gave the party a nostalgic atmosphere.

Since this event proved such a success in promoting camaraderie among dorm residents, the Resident Assistants promised to arrange additional activities in the near future. Students can therefore look forward to having more fun at upcoming campus events throughout the spring semester.
