“POP-EYED”

For those who might not know, March 8th was International Women's day. So many years have passed, and women today still try to fight for their right to be equal to men. Wherever you look, women want equality in everything they can get their hands on, and hey, who can blame them!
Housewives want their husbands to help around the house and make dinner; working women want to be in the same positions as their male colleagues and get the same salary. In other words, we want almost total equality with men. I am saying almost because there are a few loopholes we women like to use when it comes to being equal to men.
Okay, let me draw you a picture: when a couple goes out to dinner, the male is expected to open the door for the female, hold her chair, and it is generally “polite” for the male to pay. So let me ask you: “What happened to ‘equality’ between men and women?!! Do we only want equality because we want to see guys doing girly stuff too?
Hey, but it’s not fair to always expect guys to hold the doors, pay whenever we go out and be the one to say “I love or like you” first. If it’s equality that we want and are after, I say that we should also split the responsibility for these things. Sure, I can’t say hold the door for guys you like, but at least we can build up the courage and ask that “special” person out to dinner. Why should we always wait for the guy to do it, what do they have that the girls don’t?
So don’t go on waiting, because that waiting may be forever: say the magical words. If guys can do it so can we! I gotta go, I just remembered that I’ve got some talking to do as well.
