Too Many Traffic Points? You May Be Walking

Bilkent University Traffic Committee would like to remind all members of the Bilkent Community about the Violation Points System, which was put into effect last year. For example, speeding, or failing to stop at pedestrian crossings, can cause up to 8 violation points.
Drivers who receive a total of 15 or more points in one academic year have their sticker suspended and are banned from driving on campus.
Further details of the evaluation of the violation points and the implementation of the system are available at the Traffic Committee website (www.traffic.bilkent.edu.tr).
The Violation Points System aims at prevention, rather than penalization. It should never be forgotten that driving on campus is not a right, but a privilege granted to you by the other members of the Bilkent community.
Please note that these rules and regulations apply to all drivers, whether they be students, faculty members, staff, or visitors.
