Bilkent ADT (Kemalist Thought Society) is now in its 10th year. As the organization completes its first decade in existence, it is going through a process of renewal.
During its first 10 years, ADT has hosted many events, such as the 10th National Kemalist Thought Club Congress and the Youth Reception for Republic Day, and many people, including Uğur Dündar, Müjdat Gezen, Oktay Vural and Selin Sayek Böke.
To follow up on this successful decade, ADT members wanted to bring about institutional change within the club in order to adjust to a changing world. The club’s board introduced the “new” ADT at a major meeting on December 4. The theme of the meeting was “Removing Prejudices,” and the aim was to attract new members by showing how ADT has changed.
On December 11, the organization held another meeting, this one focused on their new units: Education and Thought, Organization, Human Resources and Publicity, Communication, Special Events, Finance and Social Awareness. One goal is to hold even better events in the future, and to host many more well-known speakers.
