The second annual Bilkent Archaeology Day will take place on Friday, April 12. The morning session, organized by members of the Bilkent Archaeology Club, will be a student symposium on the topic of “Magic and Rituals.” Participants in the session will also include students from the Ankara, Gazi and Hacettepe University archaeology clubs.

The theme of the two afternoon sessions will be “New Perspectives on the Bronze Age in Anatolia.” The speakers will include Bilkent Department of Archaeology faculty members as well as colleagues from other universities in Turkey (two of them Bilkent alumni) and a freelance alumnus of Oxford University.

The Archaeology Day sessions will take place in the FEASS building’s C Block Auditorium. The morning session will begin at 10 a.m. and run until 12:30 p.m.; the afternoon session will start at 2 p.m. and run until 5:15 p.m. A reception will follow.
