The Bilkent men’s and women’s badminton teams took part in the national Interuniversity 2nd Division Badminton Championship, held in Kemer, Antalya, March 23-27. Thirty-two highly ranked university teams played in the tournament.
The Bilkent teams played well in their first group matches (against teams from Sinop, Ordu and Osmaniye universities) and moved on to the second round undefeated. In this group, Bilkent played difficult games against Kırıkkale University, the Police Academy and Trakya University. The Bilkent teams ended up ranking second in the group, and so held on to their place in the second division.
