The Bilkent basketball team plays in the first division in the Turkish university basketball league. Last year, at the league tournament in Izmir, they finished third in their group and came back to Bilkent with a trophy.
This year, they want to improve on that success, and have gotten off to a strong start this term with intensive training. But it’s not all hard work for the team. Last week, they celebrated the birthday of one of their teammates. Mustafa Emre Kaya (MAN/IV) turned 22, and his friends surprised him with a birthday cake.
Let’s hope the team will have lots more to celebrate this basketball season, both on and off the court!
