The annual alumni award evening for Bilkent graduates from selected years (multiples of five years past) took place on November 19 at the Bilkent Hotel, organized by the Bilkent Alumni Association (BİLMED) and the Alumni Center. This year’s event brought together graduates from 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006 and 2011.
A special feature of the evening was the award ceremony for alumni celebrating their 25th year of graduation, with Rector Abdullah Atalar presenting a plaque to each member of the class of 1991 in attendance.
For alumni from that and other earlier classes in particular, the occasion was especially enjoyable in that it gave them a chance to reunite with school friends they had not seen for many years.
