On December 1, the Turkey University Sports Federation (TÜSF) and the METU Motor Sports Club held the first leg of the country’s fifth Intercollegiate Karting Championship, or ÜniKart for short.
The event took place in Ankara, with 40 athletes from nine universities participating. Bilkent Go-Kart Society members Can Kitaplı and Kaan Bayazıt served as track referees, while Berslen Akkaya (CTIS), Kadir Can Kasan (IE), Alkım Ege Akarsu (EE) and Berk Berensel (IE) represented the school as drivers.
In the first leg of this year’s ÜniKart, Başkent University came in first, METU second and Bilkent third.
