Bilkent Renkli Düşün (Bilkent, Think Colorfully) is a club that aims to raise awareness and hold events related to LGBTQAI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual, Queer, Asexual, Intersexual) issues, feminism and human rights. The club held two such events last week, and this week is holding a forum co-hosted with TDP (Social Awareness Projects).

On December 9, an event called “LGBT 101” took place. Evren Çakmak from KAOS GL answered questions about the LGBT community. As the name indicates, the event served as an introduction to the community.

On December 11, Renkli Düşün held the second event, the opening of a photography exhibition featuring the “Women of Bilkent.” The exhibit included photos of women from various occupations, social and economic classes, and sexualities. All of the faces in the photographs were familiar: teachers, ladies from the cafeteria, students, dormitory staff and many others. The photographs were displayed together with short interviews.

Today, December 16, Renkli Düşün  and TDP are holding a forum on the topic of “LGBT on Campus.” The forum will take place in FFB-22 during the lunch hour, starting at 12:30 p.m.
