According to the Interpress Media Agency’s report for 2013, Bilkent University leads all private universities in Turkey in the number of news items published about it, with a total of 4,246.
Interpress’s findings are based on research that involves analyzing approximately 2,000 national, regional and local newspapers and magazines. From this research, the agency compiles statistics on the number of news items about universities in Turkey published in the press.
The Interpress report for 2013 announced a 22 percent increase in university-related news items appearing in the press compared to the previous year. While Bilkent led Turkey’s private universities, Akdeniz University had the highest number of news items among state universities, with 26,324.
