On September 21, an exhibition focused on the ancient site of Göbeklitepe opened at CerModern in downtown Ankara. Titled “The Gathering: A Mysterious Journey of Humankind,” the exhibition is described as a “digital experience.” It will remain open through December 31.
Bilkent students and faculty from three departments assisted in the preparation of this innovative exhibition. Department of Communication and Design students Eda Nur Acar, Deniz Akyıldırım and Claire McIntosh worked on the project as summer interns, while Graphic Design instructor Erhan Tunalı was involved in designing the exhibit. Assoc. Prof. Thomas Zimmermann (Archaeology) and Visiting Asst. Prof. Andreas Treske (COMD) served as academic supervisors for the project.
