On December 10, the 16th Ankara Startup Summit took place at Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO), attracting more than 500 attendees. The event, organized by the Bilkent Young Entrepreneurs Society in partnership with Bilkent Cyberpark, brought founders of aspiring startups together with representatives of the entrepreneurial world.
The summit culminated in a competition between 20 of the startups, who had been selected from more than 100 applicants. The startups competed in three categories – Elevator Pitch, Final Battle and Big Four — with awards presented to each category.
The “Mutrivia” team, consisting of Bilkent Computer Engineering students Lara Fenercioğlu, Sabahattin Utku Sezer, Gökhan Taş, Bedirhan Sakinoğlu and Zeynep Ziyagil and advised by Prof. Halil Altay Güvenir, received Pre-Incubation prize in the Elevator Pitch category. The prize included $5,000 in credits from Amazon Web Services for the development of their project for two years as well as an invitation to participate in the preincubation program at Cyberpark.
