On Monday, February 16, Bilkent students gathered around the fountain in front of the Faculty of Science building to express their sorrow and anger by joining in a moment of silence to commemorate Özgecan Aslan, a 20-year-old university student who was murdered last week in Mersin after resisting an attempted rape.
