The Bilkent Symphony Orchestra can now be heard anytime, anywhere, through the digital music service Spotify.

Headquartered in Sweden, Spotify provides millions of songs and other pieces of music as well as concerts and podcasts to listeners on a “freemium” basis, with basic services free of charge and extra services for paid subscribers. Spotify is available in many countries around the world.

BSO offerings on Spotify include both recorded concerts and tracks from their CDs. Listeners can enjoy such rarities as Ahmet Adnan Saygun’s “Yunus Emre Oratorio” and Ulvi Cemal Erkin’s “Köçekçe,” along with works from the standard repertoire by composers such as Maurice Ravel. The collection of music available will be expanded soon.

(As well as its presence on Spotify, the BSO also has a YouTube channel, which can be found by searching for “Bilkent Symphony Orchestra” on YouTube.)

So log on at your desk, on your phone or in your car, and listen to some of the greatest classics of all time, played by our very own BSO!
