The Bilkent Symphony Orchestra will be opening its 2021–2022 season on Saturday, October 16 with a concert performance of Georges Bizet’s opera “Carmen” under the baton of conductor Elşad Bağırov. Soloists will be Feruza Yusupova, Ayhan Uştuk, Alfiya Karimova and Rassul Zharmagambetov, with Didem Aygün as narrator.

The concert will take place in the campus’s capacious outdoor pavilion, the Odeon, and will start at 8 p.m.

The BSO’s new season will offer concertgoers a wide range of music, from baroque masterpieces and symphonic favorites to new music and works by Turkish composers.

Please note that only fully vaccinated audience members will be admitted to the concerts without prior testing. Those who have opted not to be vaccinated will be asked to present negative PCR test results obtained within 72 hours of the concert.
