On October 31, Canadian Ambassador to Ankara Chris Cooter was at Bilkent University to visit the filmmaking workshop held by the Department of Communication and Design in cooperation with Canada’s Vancouver Film School.
During his visit, Ambassador Cooter took the opportunity to address workshop participants. He noted that academic cooperation between Canada and Turkey is growing, with an increase in the number of Turkish students studying in Canada. Mentioning that his country is celebrating its 150th birthday this year, the ambassador referred to the role of art and culture in strengthening the relations between Canada and Turkey.
The ambassador also congratulated Bilkent students on their enthusiasm and the creative films resulting from the workshop.
