Throughout the time during which education must take place at a distance, the Bilkent University Career and Alumni Office is continuing to serve students and conduct online career activities.Virtual face-to-face interviews and resume-checking meetings are being held via Zoom. Students may make an appointment at a convenient date and time by logging in to the Bilkent University Resume Database at https://stars.bilkent.edu.tr/kariyer/. All invitations will be sent to email addresses registered with the database.
The Career and Alumni Office will also be continuing their campus activities program, with events now to take place online. On Tuesday, April 21 (today), an online interview simulation by HSBC Bank will be held for new graduates and third- and fourth-year students who applied to participate.
On Wednesday, April 22 at 6 p.m., the first online career seminar will take place, with a presentation by Bilkent alumna and Meteksan Savunma Senior Human Resources Specialist Begüm Gül (ECON ’14) on the topic “Interview Techniques.” Students are invited to register for the seminar by going to https://stars.bilkent.edu.tr/kariyer/.
The spring semester “Interview Adventure With Talent Hunters” activity is also continuing online. The initial steps of the activity, which included interviews with Career and Alumni Office staff, were completed by 211 students.
Those students have been paired for interviews with human resources officers from the 16 companies participating in the program: Amadeus IT Group, Arvento Mobile Systems, B/S/H Group, Bilkent Holding, Inditex, ING Bank, Logo Yazılım, Mavi Jeans, Mercedes-Benz, Meteksan Savunma, Migros, Milsoft, Roketsan, Sanko Holding, Vestel Elektronik and Yapı ve Kredi Bankası. The interviews will be conducted via Skype, Hangout or other online platforms.
